March 8th is International Women’s Day (IWD) around the world and we are gathering locally to celebrate!
If you’re like me, you want to celebrate significant milestones in your life and you also want to celebrate the people and organizations that are important to YOU. That’s what International Women’s Day is all about for me!
Once again, I want to celebrate MetroWest Women in all their glory! I also want to raise awareness and shed some light on the issues of greatest concern to me here in MetroWest and throughout the state – inequalities and injustices that women and girls face every single day of their lives!
Please join me in honoring MetroWest Boston women and specifically three women and the nonprofits they run which positively impact the lives of women, girls and families in Massachusetts:
Heather Wightman, Executive Director, RIA House, Polly Mendoza, Executive Director, Neighbor Brigade and Kate Sanetra-Butler, Executive Director, Dignity Matters.
