Reflections on Happiness, Drita Protopapa
I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on what makes me happy. In the summertime, what makes me happy is tending to my vegetable garden, relaxing in the hammock, going for early evening walks, and cooling down in the pool! 😁
One of the things that makes me happy on the business side of life is knowing that the work we do at MAPA has a positive impact on the lives of folks here in the United States. I’m referring to the people that may not know English or know just enough English to “get by” in their interactions with the mainstream population. In some cases, our language services help bridge gaps in the commercial sector by creating ads and other promotional materials, making them accessible to audiences in multiple languages. Our services also help employees have equal access to safety and training programs by translating them into their native language.
A recent project with an international health and nutrition company that made us all very happy, involved re-creating two sixty-second TV commercials in Spanish so that the company could offer these products to the Hispanic market in the United States.
One of the reasons we love projects like this one so much is that it involves a number of our services that, when brought together and streamlined, create an integrated product from start to finish. We translated the original English scripts for the TV commercials, ensuring that they were culturally and linguistically accurate for the intended audience. We then cast the Spanish voice actors, scheduled the recording sessions, and provided language coaching during those sessions. The final step, after we cleaned up and fully edited all of the audio files, was to send them to our video production partner so that they could merge the Spanish audio files with the original English video.
If you want to find out how it all turned out, here’s the Spanish version of one of the TV spots: https://www.ispot.tv/ad/ZdDW/nugenix-disfruta-ms-spanish
